A Weekend Sweep for Radical Indianapolis at Sebring in Team's Inaugural Race Weekend!
The Radical Cup North America season kicked off this weekend at Sebring International Raceway, and team Radical Indianapolis hit the track full speed! The team made a statement in their inaugural Radical Cup North America weekend with a strong performance, taking home three wins and one pole position. Jordan Missig and Nick d'Orlando were topping the timesheets for the PRO 1500 class in Practice sessions 1 and 2, while in PRO 1340 Kenny Naill gathered valuable experience and information with his consistent runs. Taking information from the two practice sessions, the team prepared for qualifying to set the grid for Race 1.
Saturday's 30 min qualifying session for Race 1 saw Nick win pole position in the PRO 1500 class with a time of 2:06:467, nearly half-a-second clear of P2! Jordan set an impressive time of 2:07:119 to secure P3 on the PRO 1500 grid. After taking on contact at the beginning of the at the beginning of the race, Nick fell back through the field, and then executed an excellent drive with skillful overtakes and racecraft, to finish on the second step of the podium. At the top of the podium was Jordan who took home victory in Race 1! A double podium for the team to start off the season! Kenny finished Race 1 in P8 after starting from P7 in PRO 1340. Strong results for the team, and solid starting positions set for Race 2.
The positive momentum carried through to Saturday afternoon. In PRO 1340, Kenny crossed the finish line in P8 in Race 2. The team achieved an outstanding result again in PRO 1500 with Jordan taking the checkered flag in P1 for another win! Nick brought home his second podium of the weekend, finishing P3 with another strong showing for Radical Indianapolis. Sunday saw Race 3 where Jordan started on pole and Nick in P3 for PRO 1500, while Kenny started PRO 1340 in 8th. It was a weekend sweep for Jordan as he reached the checkered flag first for yet another victory! Nick finished P8 in the PRO 1500 class, as did Kenny in PRO 1340.
A great start to the championship for Radical Indianapolis in Sebring, with Jordan's victorious run, alongside two podiums and a pole for Nick! All three drivers delivered solid results all weekend, and the team is already counting down the days to hitting the track at Barber Motorsports Park April 26th-28th!
